Terms of use
Last updated September 24, 2026
These terms apply to the Wayboard apps for iPhone and Android and to wayboard.app ("Wayboard"), operated by [operator's legal name, address, country] ("we", "us"). By using Wayboard you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
What Wayboard does
Wayboard builds packing lists and trip checklists from the details you give it, and shows travel information about your destinations. You can change anything on your lists.
Travel information is guidance, not advice
Entry requirements, visas and electronic travel authorizations, passport validity rules, plugs, currency and other travel information in Wayboard are there to help you prepare. They can be incomplete or out of date, and they are not legal or immigration advice. Before you travel, check the requirements with official sources, such as the destination's government and your airline. We are not responsible if you are refused boarding or entry, or for anything you didn't pack.
Your account
You need an account to use Wayboard: sign in with Apple, Google or a one-time code sent to your email, and your lists sync and are backed up. Keep your devices and your email account secure, since anyone using them can reach your lists. You are responsible for what you add, including information about the people you travel with; add it only with their permission.
Premium
- Premium is sold through the App Store or Google Play. Payment, renewals, cancellations and refunds follow their terms, and you manage them in your store account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Features that protect your data, such as sync, backup, export and account deletion, stay free.
Fair use
Don't use Wayboard for anything unlawful, try to get around its security, overload it, or collect other people's data from it. Don't copy or reverse engineer the apps except where the law allows it.
Your content
What you put in Wayboard stays yours. You allow us to store, sync and process it only to run Wayboard for you. We don't sell it or share it with advertisers.
A trip you share is also seen, and can be changed, by the people you share it with.
Changes, suspension and shutting down
Wayboard will change over time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You can stop using Wayboard and delete your account at any time.
If we ever shut Wayboard down, we'll tell you at least 90 days before, in the app and by email. From that day we stop selling Premium and renewing subscriptions, and until the end you can export your data. After that, the apps keep working on your phone without an account, including the Premium features that don't need our servers, such as travel companions and reusable lists. Sync, the web app and anything else that needs our servers stop.
Liability
We work to keep Wayboard accurate and available, but it is provided as it is, without guarantees that it is error-free or always available. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law doesn't let us limit.
Law
These terms are governed by [governing law and courts]. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we update them here with a new date. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
